We are looking for two geo cachers/explorers during our next summer season. Tasks of a geo cacher are independent and go from discovering, hiking, marking and recording worth seeing landmarks in our area. The goal is to create a well-developed trail network for hikers, riders and other nature enthusiasts.

While discovering new tracks, the geo cacher must make sure to track all his movements via GPS and, as in the absence of clear paths, mark trees. That way tourists are able to experience their adventure as well.

In the end, we need to be able to use the data that has been gathered to create directions with maps and pictures that ideally can even be followed without a GPS.

Applicants must be adventurous, physically fit, fearless of wild animals and need to have some technical knowledge (GPS, camera PC).

Applicants must have a valid working holiday visa for Canada, which can be applied for by all German citizens up to the age of 35 (it’s not necessary to have a valid visa while applying for the job but you do need one before entering the country). More information about “work and travel” in Canada can be found here.

We are looking for independent, motivated and creative people who are able to work in the middle of nowhere. Due to the remote location of the construction site (about 340km one-way to do some grocery shopping), we need people who can imagine living under such circumstances (no mobile network etc, real winter with lots of snow and temperatures down to -30 degrees).

In return you will get rewarded with spectacular sceneries and wildlife.

Compensation: Accommodation + $200 monthly food allowance and 50-150 CAD per tracking.

It is very important to know that your costs of living are much lower in our remote area compared to living in a city like Vancouver or an area with much more infrastructure.

If you feel like you are suitable for this job and would like to work in almost untouched nature, where elk and grizzly bears are around, then we look forward to receive your application by email (cover letter, CV, picture, certificates etc.).
